On the occasion of the Army Day, honoring the dedication of veterans and carrying forward the spirit of patriotism, Unisons “Backbone of the Nation” Public Welfare Initiative entered Dongwu Town, Ningbo, and participated in the themed charity event “Honoring Military Glory · Discussing Dongwu’s Development.”

Through this heartfelt public welfare initiative, Unisons paid tribute to veterans, demonstrated corporate social responsibility and humanistic care, and extended its highest respect to those who have silently safeguarded the nation and its people.

On the morning of July 29, the Party and Public Service Center of Fengming Community in Dongwu Town was filled with solemnity and warmth. Key recipients of preferential care, decorated veterans, representatives from the town’s Armed Forces Department, and heads of veterans’ service stations from various villages gathered together for the event.

The event officially commenced with all participants standing and singing the national anthem. Pei Qiang, Director of Dongwu Town Armed Forces Department, delivered a speech, providing an insightful overview of the current international situation and the economic development of Dongwu Town. His remarks allowed the veterans present to deeply feel the care of the Party and government, as well as the strong support provided by relevant policies.

Zhu Jiaolin, Chairman of Unisons, attended the event and delivered a speech. She stated that veterans are among the nation’s most precious assets. In the past, they wore military uniforms and defended the country with their youth and passion, protecting the peace and stability of the nation. Today, after leaving military service and returning to their communities, they continue to contribute to local development. Unisons expressed its sincere respect and gratitude to these guardians of the nation.

Subsequently, several veteran representatives took the stage to share their stories. They recalled their remarkable military journeys, shared their lives after retirement, and offered constructive suggestions for the future development of Dongwu Town based on their own experiences. Their words reflected the sincerity, responsibility, and dedication that define the spirit of servicemen.

Veterans’ service station leaders, including Yu Xin’gen from Nancun Village and Wang Zhenkang from Qinyong Village, also shared their commitments. They expressed that they would continue to devote themselves to supporting veterans, improving care initiatives, providing practical and warm services, and safeguarding the rights and well-being of veterans.

The event concluded successfully with the powerful and inspiring melody of the “Military Anthem of the Chinese People’s Liberation Army.” At the end of the event, the Dongwu Town Armed Forces Department, together with Unisons, presented carefully prepared care packages and commemorative gifts to the attending veterans. The gifts represented heartfelt appreciation for their outstanding contributions to national security and people’s well-being, as well as the highest respect for their unwavering dedication and selfless spirit of service.
